We have finally moved into our new apartment in Greensboro, NC! The move was a success, with nothing broken, a few frustrations and only a little stress. We owe a big thanks to both of our parents who were generous enough to spend their time and sweat (since it was 108 degrees when we moved in) to help us move and unpack. I don't know what we would have done without them.
Our apartment is coming together nicely. It is a two story townhome with the first floor encompassing the kitchen, dining room, living room and 1/2 bath. The second floor encompasses the laundry room, master bedroom, man cave and full bath with separate sinks. I especially love my new desk even though I have cluttered it up already. Pictures will follow as soon as decorating is finished. So far we love it.
Beyond the apartment, UNCG has been stressing me out like usual. They just aren't as efficient as WKU was. I am still waiting to hear about my loan eligibility and hopefully will be able to get one before my payment is due. The personal training job fell through when my department head told me I couldn't do that and the graduate assistantship at the same time. Maybe next semester or next year I can figure out a way to do it on the side. I should be in contact soon with my GA supervisor about the details of my position. It is with a local medical center and my supervisor said that it is going to be challenging for everyone involved. So I guess we will see!
Brian is still working with Gray Engineering as we speak. Although he hasn't been working much since we have had to run errands and get acclimated these last couple of days. He is trying to make as much money as possible while he can before looking for a job locally. So happy he decided to take this journey with me.
So in reference to the title of this post. We have had our first failure. Tonight we had brats for dinner and then I made a WeightWatchers recipe for angel food cake. The directions said to add vanilla pudding, crushed pineapple and cool whip together to then pour over the angel food cake. I questioned whether the pudding had to be prepared or just as is. Brian's logical idea was that it had to be prepared, so I went with that not wanting to bother calling mom. Well that was a mistake because the mixture ended up runny and was such a mess. Oh well, we failed but have learned from it. At least we had a good laugh out of it.
I can't wait to hear what is next. Writing to no one in particular is somehow theraputic isn't it.

It is very therapeutic. Just to get all of your thoughts out there even though no one may read it. Thanks for the inspiration!
